History of 2000 DS

the motorbikes, lots of fire and also a few lad who were going to assault the band. Just before we went on there was a power problem and all the lights went out and then came on. We were told there was not enough power for our music equipment and the stage lighting, so we said bollocks to the lights, lets just play, because the crowd was getting impatient The stage manager said to us we could have as much beer as we could drink, so the trays were arriving every three minutes. The gig ended up in good style with loads of lire, plenty of stage action and the mad cow to finish it off. There was a good crowd reaction but the stage manager was a bit pissed off because we drank 160 beers, between the posse and the band. “Perhaps he will know better next time'. The rest of the night was chaos and nobody can remember what had happened to all the story. SUNDAY, the last day of the festival and it hadn’t worked out too bad because at least we had a good time. Kerrupt from Bremman played on our stage in the night but when the D.S. tried to play the police came and we had to shutdown. That was the end of the festival and our next move was to cross into Holland to Eindhoven for another festival and hopefully the organizer there would treat us a bit better because it was organized by squatters and so they would understand our situation a bit better. The two weeks spent in Eindhoven ended up to be really good and everybody had a great time. There was plenty going on, with bands and acts form all over Europe. Our own particular concert was great with the crowd getting into it. we even got paid for a change. From there we played K137 street fest which was also great October came and with not much going on we decided to go to Prague, in Czechoslovakia, to see what was going on there. We were put in touch with an agency who could probably book a tour for us. It took over a week to meet up with them and at the end of it they said only if we wanted to work with pop band not hardcore bands, so it was a waste of time. When we arrived back in Berlin we were put in contact with a guy who could get us a gig in Prague in a two-day festival with Chaos UK and Rectify (who were friends of ours) so we agreed, we decided to first go in the studio and record some new stuff, then go to Prague, South Germany,Italy and then back to Berlin and England for a few gigs and to try to finish off the video that we had been putting together on and off. DS PAUL First we recorded in Berlin with Austin, John, Gus and G&P Disease. We recorded Stif of the Dump, CocaCola Heroin, Slave to the Rave, Internation Operation and Cyclepath. Two of the songs ended up on the D.S. compilation EP and two on the video. After the recording Gus said he wanted to go to England for a while but he would be back in time for the tour so G&P Disease organized to go down to Milan to record the material they had made with Osso and Alex because they were good songs and they would never get used if we didn't do something about it. We arrived in Milan on November first and practiced for a couple of days. Then we went in the studio and recorded Move over China, Sink or Swim 2, Baton in Hand, Mainz at the Bar. Two songs were used on the EP compilation the other two on the video. With all of them also coming out on the 2000DS Greatest Musicians Hits Album. Gary went back to Berlin to mix the material and Paul and Austin stayed in Milan and a week after were to meet in the South of Germany for the beginning of the lour. John, the new bass player, had gone to
